Our Experience at eMerge Americas 2026

The latest edition of eMerge Americas 2026 has further established the event as the leading innovation and entrepreneurship hub in South Florida, United States.

The numbers confirm this leadership:

  • 20,000 attendees.
  • 300 exhibitors.
  • 250 speakers.
  • 60 countries represented.

With these figures in mind, at Let’s Prototype we decided to be there—and not just as attendees. We decided to showcase some examples of prototypes developed in our laboratory.

The companies exhibiting at eMerge Americas 2026 were grouped into four main categories:

  • Health Technology
  • AI Technologies in General
  • Defense Technology
  • A Variety of Services and Support for Startups and Technology Companies Across the Americas

Although at Let’s Prototype we have extensive experience developing products for clients in Europe and the United States across these areas, we decided to showcase our services through real examples of wearables, sports technology solutions, home appliance prototypes, and several machine models.

eMerge Americas 2026

The variety of prototypes on display allowed us to demonstrate the importance of integrating multiple technical disciplines within a single laboratory to develop products with a strong potential for market success.

It is true that attending an event of the scale of eMerge Americas 2026 requires a significant financial investment and considerable effort from any company. However, technology events like this are essential for strengthening the ecosystem and the brands of the true industry leaders who shape it.

These are the key recommendations we can share based on our experience as an official exhibitor at eMerge Americas 2026:

  • Define Clear Objectives in Advance.

Define the overall and specific objectives that motivate you to participate.

Every aspect of your participation in the event—branding, booth design, verbal and printed messaging, communication style, and everything in between—should be aligned with your primary objectives.

In our case, our objective was clear: we wanted exhibiting companies and attendees, many of them closely connected to the hardware industry, to learn about the capabilities of our product development laboratories in Miami and Madrid. From this main objective, we were able to define at least a dozen more specific goals that shaped our overall strategy.

  • Define Realistic, Actionable KPIs

Expecting immediate product or project sales in an environment focused on the showcase of innovative projects, such as the eMerge Americas hub, is a mistake. However, this does not mean that participating cannot ultimately generate a return. The key is to define how that return will be measured against the realistic objectives established beforehand.

In our case, for example, we defined KPIs such as the number of institutional contacts and connections with Florida patent attorneys. This time, these contacts were even more important to us than the inventors themselves, because our goal was to expand our network and maximize the value we provide to our existing clients.

  • Train Your Team.

Never assume your message is clear. The objectives you pursue at an event like this, as well as the message you want to communicate, should be carefully planned. Train your team on your company pitch, but above all, train them to listen effectively and use structured methods to capture information so it can later be processed and leveraged in the most valuable way possible.

  • Plan Post-Event Actions.

Defining what you will do the day after the event is more important than the design of your booth. It is the key to effectively following up on the objectives that motivated your participation in the first place.

  • Summarize and Leverage Real Market Insights.

At events like these, we often arrive with a well-established and confident perception of what we do and what we stand for. However, it is important to remain open to being surprised and prepared to absorb the valuable insights the market provides. You need to be ready to listen: how people perceive you, where they see your value, and what truly stands out to them about your offering.

In our case, this may have been one of the most valuable insights. For many software companies specializing in application development, discovering our capabilities was a welcome surprise. They told us that a significant number of projects reach their teams but ultimately become stalled precisely because they require custom hardware development solutions.

eMerge Americas 2026 was not just a gathering of talent and technology that brought together more than 20,000 people. It was a highly valuable opportunity to connect with the realities of the market beyond the walls of our laboratory.

We don’t just want to share this experience as a newsworthy event. We want to bring together inventors, startups, and companies for which we have developed products to organize a joint presence at eMerge Americas 2027.

If you believe this opportunity could help strengthen your connection with the market, don’t hesitate to contact us.
