Inventos Inútiles Vs Oportunidades de negocio.
Hola Amigo, ya se que te ha llamado la atención el término «inventos inútiles<
Tal y como me comprometí, el domingo pasado, hoy te desvelaré el método que utilizamos para mejorar los inventos de los Inventors con los que trabajamos.
Ah! ¿No lo sabías?
¡ Pués SÍ! Además de prototypes are manufactured, aportamos ideas durante el proceso de fabricación del invention.
El 100% de las ideas, persiguen alguno de estos objetivos:
- Conseguir mejoras que redunden en ahorro de costes en el futuro inmediato del proyecto.
- Conseguir mejoras que acerquen el producto a sus potenciales clientes.
Pero NO, no voy a venderte “mi libro”.

Yo he conocido dos tipos de inventores:
Los que aplican el método de forma tal, que llegan a conclusiones de mejora muy útiles para sus inventos.
Los que siguen sin comprender, qué el invento, además de para fardar, tiene que ser útil para los clientes.
Y eso, querido amigo, es lo que diferencia un Invento Inútil de una oportunidad de negocio.
Vamos con el método, estoy seguro que lo aprovecharás desde hoy.
Paso 1
Lo primero que debes hacer, es pensar en los clientes para los que has pensado tu invento.
Ponle cara, ojos y dientes, piensa en ellos y reflexiona sobre cuánto les conoces realmente.
¡Ah! amigo, que, pasa si el usuario de tu invento eres tú mismo?
OJO, en ese caso, debes encontrar otros que compartan tu problema.
Quiero que sepas todo sobre tus clientes:
Cómo toman las decisiones
En qué se gastan el dinero
Qué alternativas a tu producto tienen, por rudimentarias que sean, todo aporta.
Una vez que les tienes totalmente identificado, nos vamos al…
Paso 2
Pilla folio y un boli.
¿Ya lo tienes?
¡Sí! Vamos a hacer el ejercicio ahora.
Divide el folio en tres columnas.
Izquierda – Problemas
Centro – Sorpresas
Derecha: Frustraciones
OJO, esto no tiene nada que ver con política
Es lo que escribiremos en cada columna en cada columna.
Comencemos por la izquierda. (Problemas)
En esta columna, quiero que enumeres los principales problemas que consideras tienen tus clientes.
No solo los que tu vas a resolver. Todos es todos…
Por ejemplo, si tu cliente fuera Prototécnica (Laboratorio de fabricación de prototipos), en la columna izquierda, yo incluiría:
Captar más inventores con recursos para fabricar sus prototipos.
Posicionarse como líder entre las fábricas de inventos españolas.
Captar y mantener sus capacidades técnicas para materializar de forma eficiente los prototipos.
Captar personal con talento.
etc…
O sea, debes escribir en esa columna, todo lo que consideres crítico desde el punto de vista de tu cliente.
¿Ya lo tienes? ¿Pensaste lo suficiente?
Vamos al siguiente paso.
Paso Nº3
Si ya tienes esta lista, describe en el otro folio las características de tu producto.
Ve tachando los problemas que tu consideras quedarán resueltos con él.
No te preocupes si aún quedan problemas por atender, es normal.
Aquí tendrás una primera fuente de inspiración para agregar funciones o modificar características de tu producto.
Paso Nº4
Ahora bien, en la columna del medio vas a listar posibles “sorpresas” que podrías dar a tu cliente.
Piensa en situaciones o soluciones que podrían causar una sorpresa muy positiva a tu cliente.
Siguiendo el ejemplo de Prototécnica como cliente, yo enumeraba algunas como:
Recibir una ayuda fiscal que a su vez permitiera ofrecer prototipos más ajustados en precio.
Contar con el apoyo de universidades para acelerar los procesos de investigación.
Recibir clientes extranjeros interesados en que se materialicen sus inventos en España.
¿ Lo ves? No se trata de responder a los problemas que identificaste antes, sino de encontrar posibles elementos que podrían generar a tus clientes una grata sorpresa.
Paso Nº5
Ahora bien relee la lista de funciones de tu producto, y confirma si alguna de sus características responde a estas sorpresas descritas. Si encuentras alguna relación, tacha la “sorpresa de la lista”
Lo cierto es que, exista relación o no, este proceso será otra fuente de inspiración clave para innovar sobre tu invento.
Paso Nº6
En la columna derecha, haremos lo mismo, pero con las frustraciones.
Quiero que listes en esa columna las frustraciones o miedos que creas podrían sentir tus clientes al enfrentarse a tu nuevo producto.
Por bueno que sea, el cliente tendrá alguna resistencia, este es el momento de prever cuáles serían sus objeciones.
¿Ya lo tienes?
El procedimiento se repite, revisa si entre las características de tu invento, alguna responde a estos miedos y frustraciones.
Si no es así, tienes una nueva fuente de inspiración de mejoras para tu producto.
Te aseguro que el método funciona, nos ha permitido fabricar prototipos mucho más cercanos a las necesidades de los clientes. O sea, con mayores oportunidades de éxito.
Te animo a completar el ejercicio solo.
Guarda las conclusiones, o sea: los problemas que según tú el producto resolver, las sorpresas que generaría y las características que ayudan a evitar los miedos del cliente.
Ahora, repítelo con algunas personas NO involucradas con el proyecto, estoy seguro que ganarás una nueva perspectiva.
OJO, puedes hacerlo sin contar tu invento, vas tachando de la lista de problemas, sorpresas y frustraciones, aquellas características que tu producto cubra.
Todo lo que se quede sin resolver en la lista, lejos de ser un problema o un NO, es una gran oportunidad para afinar en tu invento.
