During the <\/span>prototype design process<\/b><\/a>, components and parts are practically optimized in the lab, and it\u2019s essential that these adjustments are accurately reflected in the part drawings that form part of the prototype\u2019s technical documentation.<\/span><\/p>

An innovative product usually involves more than one hypothesis or area of uncertainty. Step 3: Drawings for the first prototype version<\/b><\/p>

On the other hand, missing information or failure to follow these standards can hinder the effective transfer of knowledge expected from <\/span>product part drawings<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>

Part name and technical identification:<\/b> Each <\/span>part drawing<\/b> must include the name of the part. It\u2019s recommended to use intuitive names that reflect the part\u2019s function or purpose within the product. Dimensions:<\/b> A key piece of information in <\/span>part design drawings<\/b> is the set of dimensions. The <\/span>design drawings<\/b> must document linear measurements\u2014length, width, and height\u2014as well as hole diameters, radii, and part thicknesses. Another critical aspect of the dimensions section is the specification of dimensional tolerances, which should be documented both generally and specifically for features that are critical to the part\u2019s function. When parts include threads, chamfers, or holes designed to fit other components, it is essential to detail the depths of these features.<\/span><\/p>

Technical finish specifications:<\/b> The section for <\/span>technical specifications in design drawings<\/b> includes information related to the finishing details of the part. In most cases, these finishes are essential to the proper function of the design. For example, this includes required tolerances and surface treatments such as galvanizing, painting, or anodizing.<\/span><\/p>

Use of standard symbols:<\/b> This refers to a <\/span>legend of drawing icons<\/b> fully defined by ISO quality standards or ASME guidelines.
